We think most email metrics
are lying to you.

Email Digit is built on the belief that a number you can't trust is worse than no number at all.

The metric this industry was built around stopped measuring people, and it kept reporting it anyway. We would rather show you fewer numbers and stand behind every one of them.

THE EMAIL DIGIT MISSION
Why this company exists

The industry optimised itself into noise.

When Apple shipped Mail Privacy Protection, the metric the entire email industry was built around stopped measuring people. Mail clients began opening messages on the recipient's behalf, which means an open rate now counts software as often as it counts a person.

The industry's response was to keep reporting it. Every dashboard, every benchmark, every case study still leads with open rate — because disowning it would mean disowning years of reported results. We started from a blank page, so we didn't have to.

So we record opens, show them, and never score them. What counts instead is what a person had to decide to do: click, reply, or buy.

What we hold

Five positions we're
not going to move off.

If anything we ship contradicts one of these, the ship is wrong. Tell us — we'll fix it.

01

A metric you can't trust is worse than no metric.

We show open rates and never score them. Engagement is built from clicks, replies and revenue — the things a person had to choose to do.

02

Infrastructure should be the vendor's problem.

You publish three DNS records, once. Key rotation, DMARC progression and warm-up are ours.

03

A reply is the most valuable thing a customer sends you.

It should not land in a shared inbox nobody reads. We read every one, score it, and route it.

04

Automation is only worth having if it's safe to leave running.

Frequency caps, quiet hours, a do-not-send list that only broadens, and draft-only handling for anything sensitive.

05

Show the working.

Every derived number in the product can be opened up and interrogated — including the ones that make us look worse.

Honestly

What we don't
have yet.

We'd rather you read it here.

No SOC 2 certification

And no audit currently underway. If your procurement requires one, tell us and we'll talk about timing rather than quote a date.

No client libraries

A REST API and signed webhooks, which are real and documented. There is no package to install.

No published accuracy figure for reply classification

We haven't measured it against a labelled set, so we're not going to quote a number. When we measure it, we'll publish it with the sample size.

No automation nodes that send WhatsApp or SMS

Both channels send, and broadcasts work on WhatsApp. Automations are email-only for now.

No card checkout

The free plan is self-serve. Paid plans are invoiced directly during beta.

No public status page

And no published uptime figure, because nothing measures one yet. When there's an incident that affects you, we tell you directly.

We will never hide a limitation behind marketing copy.
